HMD Global, the licensee of Nokia phones, has unveiled a series of new products for the summer. These include an HMD-Barbie branded clamshell phone produced in partnership with Mattel.

The Barbie-themed smartphone focuses on providing a “digital detox”. It features a retro-style clamshell phone design. In this way, it aims to appeal to fans of the iconic doll series.

HMD is also preparing to launch the company’s own smartphones. While details are still unclear, leaked images last month revealed what the upcoming HMD devices will look like.

Another smartphone giant enters the foldable market!

Nubia Flip 5G revealed pre-launch. What does the foldable, which is expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks, offer?

The Geekbench listing revealed some key specifications of the Legend and Legend Pro. Both will be powered by the Unisoc T606 chipset, an entry-level mobile platform. The standard Legend model will come with 4 GB of RAM, while the Legend Pro will offer up to 8 GB of memory capacity.

In addition, HMD confirmed plans to reintroduce an “iconic phone” this summer. Throughout 2024, it also hinted that it will continue to create new phone models. This suggests that Nokia devices will continue to be sold in the market.

On the other hand, the company also unveiled an accessory platform that allows users to create customized hardware add-ons. Called HMD Fusion, the accessories bring additional features to smartphones, such as cameras and speakers.

HMD said it will leverage its developer community for new ideas. Sustainability will also be another main theme that HMD emphasizes.
